Hey everyone! Here are a few pictures from this past week. I was inspired by these gorgeous orange flowers that have bloomed in my yard (thanks to the previous homeowner) and I am afraid that I may kill them off before they bloom again next year! I have really been enjoying my time with the little man, hopefully you'll like the pictures.

School's Out for Summer!
It's official, I am finally on summer break! Last Wednesday was technically my last day of school, although I only had to go in for a couple of hours and little O Man went with me. So this week marks my first full week off with the little guy since I had to go back to work. I am also quickly remembering how tiring it is to be home with him all day, way more 'work' than my actual job :) I think I fell asleep last week at 7 pm each night that I was with him all day, but it is so worth it.
Owen is really in a great baby stage right now. He sleeps through the night more often than not, and man has that made me a completely different person :) Last night he went to sleep at 8 and didn't wake up until 6:15! I'll take that any day. And to top it off, he fell back to sleep around 7, which allowed me to enjoy a cup of coffee in the hot tub.
Last week we took lots of morning walks, maybe a little too many for Marlow. His shoulder started acting up again when I took him for a walk two days in a row. It's just so hard to leave him behind when he gives me that adorable puppy dog look. Owen and I have also checked out our neighborhood pool, I have a feeling that we will be spending EVERY day down there in a couple of years. It was full of kids and it looked like they were all having so much fun! But I think the highlight for Owen this week was the construction of his Baby Einstein playstation. Just look at the smile on his face when he went into it for the first time! It took mom a long time to put it together, but I think it was well worth the wait!

Edisto Island
What a great weekend with the family at Edisto Island, SC! All of my siblings were able to make it down and it made for a fun filled trip! Owen had many firsts; first time to the beach, first time in the ocean, first time in the pool, and first time meeting Uncle Joe and Aunt Megan! Owen will soon realize how cool his aunt is, she bought him Kanye West lullabys. I must say, they are much more tolerable than traditional lullabys. I wish more of us lived closer, but at least we will see them all again in a few weeks in MI.
Hey ya'll, thanks for the great memories :)

Four Months Old: 14 lbs 9 oz, 25 inches
Our little guy is growing and changing each and every day. He turned 4 months old yesterday, and is starting to sleep through the night more often. Mom and Dad are over the moon about this! I just hope that I am not jinxing it. It feels soooooo wonderful to get a good night's rest, I think I forgot what that felt like! We decided to purchase a Bumbo seat this week per a friend's suggestion and I am so happy that we did. Owen loves it; it is a seat that allows him to sit upright and see his world around him. The first night we had it he sat in the living room and played and we even took it out into the wonderful spring evening where he enjoyed looking at all of his surroundings, especially his caterpiller toy! I think this will come in handy when we head to the beach next week.
Grandma Kim is now in town and seems to be loving every minute of the little guy! She is such a big help and I know that she is creating special memories for herself, like the walk in the torrential downpour; she is even getting quite the reputation around the neighborhood ;)
I can't believe that she will be gone in just a week, if we could only get both sets of grandparents to move....

Rolling Over
Hit a big milestone yesterday (with a little help from his mom)! Owen has been extremely close to rolling over for some time now, enough that Grandma Julie has warned me not to leave him on the ottoman alone. Well, last night he was really turning to his side when he was on his back. So I decided to put him on his tummy to see if her could roll over. I propped his arms up and he immediately rolled to his back. He had the hugest grin on his face, I think because we were all screaming with joy. I will post a video of this soon, just know that he was being quite stubborn when I turned the video on so it took awhile, be patient...
